The cranberry is a North American fruit that grows on a bush. The cranberry is small, round, red, and very bitter. American Indians used the berries for food and medicine. When settlers first came from England in the 1600s, they liked these berries, too. The settlers had never seen the berries before. They decided to call them “crane berries”, because birds called cranes ate them.
The cranberry bush grows in only some states that have the special conditions the cranberry bush needs.
Cranberries ripen when the weather starts to become cold. Many people eat cranberries as part of the feast of Thanksgiving in November.

In April, 2009 a moving roof was fitted on Centre court. It weighs over 3, 000 tonnes, is 5, 300 square metres in size. The roof is not totally clear but lets in some natural light. Why do economy-class passengers get treated like second-class citizens? Gone are the days when airlines treated their passengers like welcome guests. Recently, I was foolish enough to take advantage of a special offer and bought a cheap ticket from London to Cape Town. First of all I had to arrive at the airport four hours before my flight. The fact that I had paid for my ticket weeks before didn’t seem to make any difference. Apparently most airlines overbook their flights and won’t reserve you a seat. As a result, passengers have to arrive early and hope the airline will be kind enough to give them a seat! When I finally found my seat I was squashed between two other passengers with my knees pressed against the seat in front. Shortly after take off, breakfast was served. It turned out to be a roast chicken! I decided I couldn’t face eating dinner at 9 in the morning and waited. Nothing was served until 3pm. I arrived in Cape Town feeling hungry, angry and determined never to fly economy class again!
