[1] acids inorganic

                                                       Текст II
Acids which do not contain the element carbon are known as acids inorganic [1]. Almost inorganic acids [2] are prepared from the non-living matter [3]. These acids can be divided into classes [4] according to the number of atoms in each molecule which a metal atom can replace. Those [5] which have only one replaceable hydrogen atom in each molecule are known as monobasic acids. Another acids [6] may contain either two or three replaceable hydrogen atoms in each molecule and these are known as dibasic and tribasic acids, respectively. All the atoms of hydrogen in molecules of inorganic acids are replaceable by the metal atom [7]. Hydrochloric acid (HCI) is an example of an inorganic monobasic acid [8]. Sulphuric acid (H2SO4) is dibasic. The orthophosphoric acid (H3PO7) [9], whose molecules contain three atoms of hydrogen is tribasic. In contrast with [10], organic acetic acid (H4C2O2) molecules each contain four hydrogen atoms; however, only one of these can be replaced by a metal. Although [11], acetic acid is classified as a monobasic acid [12].
