Nature is full of colour. Colour is very important for plants, animals, birds, and insects. It means life to them. Birds, for example, use their colour to tell other birds to stay away from their nests. They sing and move their wings to show their colour as a warning to other birds.
Some moths use colour to make birds afraid of them. The colour or the marks on the moth’s body is a sign to a bird. The bird sees the colour or the marks and does not eat the moth!
One kind of fish can change its colour. The colour is the same as the surrounding sea plants or rocks. Then the fish’s enemy can’t see it.

The cranberry bush grows in only some states that have the special conditions the cranberry bush needs.
Cranberries ripen when the weather starts to become cold. Many people eat cranberries as part of the feast of Thanksgiving in November.

Dinosaurs lived in North America, in Africa, and in Europe. Many dinosaurs lived in the water, which helped to hold up their great weight. The early dinosaurs walked on two feet, and they ate meat. The later dinosaurs were larger and walked on four feet. Some of the later dinosaurs ate plants only.
Why did dinosaurs die out? Nobody knows for sure. Probably, a change in the weather made serious problems for them. The plant life and the weather changed. Perhaps the dinosaurs couldn’t change fast enough.
