Baasrode used to be an important eel-fishing village, so Mr Peeters made his chocolate bar in the shape of an eel. It took him three hundred hours to make the chocolate eel. It was 7.5 metres long, 35 centimetres around, and weighed 920 kilograms! After it was made the world record was confirmed, the giant chocolate bar was divided among the 6,000 people who live in the village of Baasrode.
