Thanks for your letter. It was good to hear all your news.

You're right, my birthday is on June 25th, so I will be celebrating soon! Last year, I had a party at my house. I invited all my friends and we had a great time. We danced and ate delicious food. It was wonderful.
This year, I want to do something different to celebrate my birthday. I think I will invite my friends to a restaurant. We can all have a meal together. I love Italian food, so I think I will choose a pizza restaurant.
I really want a new bike for my birthday. My bike is very old, and it's very slow. Last year, my parents bought me a pair of rollerblades. I love them! I go rollerblading every weekend.

Hi! How are things with you?

You asked me about how I keep fit. Well, I do several things to stay in shape. The main thing I do is walk everywhere. Walking is very good exercise, and I suppose I walk about two miles every day.
Of course, I get a lot of exercise with my dog, too. I take him to the park every day and we run around together. Having a dog is my favourite way to keep fit because I have fun while I exercise.
There are plenty of facilities for keeping fit in my town. There's a sports centre and a gym. I hate going to the gym. I think it's really boring, and I don't like exercising indoors.

Dear Andrew,
Thanks for your letter. I love hearing your news.

I usually wear casual clothes like jeans and T-shirts with trainers. I like to be comfortable. If I am going to a party, I wear trousers and a shirt, but I am happier in more sporty clothes.
I buy my clothes in sport shops and department stores, but I don't go shopping very often. I really don't like shopping. I think it is very boring, so I only go shopping when I really need new clothes to wear.
The last thing I bought was a denim jacket. I love it, and I wear it every day. It's really cool!

Dear Robert,
It was good to get your letter.

You asked me lots of questions about food. I eat three meals a day. I have breakfast in the morning before I go to school. Then I have lunch at school in the afternoon, and I eat dinner with my family in the evening. I usually have toast and cereal for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch, and a large meal with and vegetables for dinner.
I'm not a very good cook, but I can make great pizza. It's really easy! You just put lots of delicious things on a pizza base and put it in the oven! Pizza is my favourite food, but I love burgers and chips, too!
I hope you will visit me one day so I can make you a pizza!

Dear Jane,
I enjoyed reading your last letter. I'm glad you're enjoying your studies.

I want to travel for a year when I leave school. I will visit exciting countries like the USA and Australia. Maybe I'll visit you in the UK! I want to have a break and enjoy myself before I go to university.
I do want to study at university, but I'm not sure which subject I want to study yet. I like English, so I might study that, but I'm better at maths and art. I want to be a teacher when I'm older. I haven't decided what I want to teach yet, though. I might decide to teach maths, or I might decide to teach art. I've got a few years before I have to make a decision!
I hope you will write to me again soon.

Thanks for your letter. It was great to hear from you.

I love sports. My favourite sport is football. I like it because it's exciting and it's great fun to watch and play. I watch a lot of football on TV. My favourite team is Manchester United.
I play football with my friends in the park every weekend, and I'm on the school football team. We practise twice a week. I'm very good at football, and I'd love to be a professional footballer one day.
We have sports lessons at school every week, too, We play football, basketball and tennis. I quite like basketball, but I don't like tennis much. I think it's boring.
